DANCE SIDES:
BROADWOOD MORRIS
Carfax (bandstand) 10:30am & Market
Square 11am
The Broadwood Morris Men will be dancing dances
from the Cotswold tradition of Morris, including some dances written
by themselves. When dancing, you’ll find them in the Carfax
or Market Square. When resting, you’ll probably find them
in the pub!
Magog Ladies Morris
Carfax (bandstand) @ 10.30am
Magog Ladies Morris based in and around Horsham,
have been dancing as a side in the area since 1974. Dance traditions
performed include Stave, Northwest Clog, Garland and Cotswold
as well as their very own dances affectionately known as the "Horsham
tradition". During the 32 years of their existence, they
have performed at many different events and locations, from local
pubs to International Folk Festivals in Brittany, Ireland, Holland,
Germany and Denmark. And when in the UK, they are known for kicking
(or rather clogging!) off the festivities at Christmas in the
"Maypoles & Mistletoe" staged at the Hawth Theatre,
Crawley and at the Electric Theatre, Guildford.
